Show choir takes the stage

As the basketball season continues on the show choir season is just getting started. They are kicking off their season with a performance with the jazz band at Marion High school, Thursday, January 5th at 7:00 pm.

The show choir team has been practicing since July for their season. Emily Kriz is a junior in the Marion High school show choir.  “We have practiced a lot and had to practice on our own time outside of practice” Kriz said.

Overall the show choir team competes at five competitions including the Marion Masquerade. This performance isn’t competitive but it helps make it feel real, instead of just having practice.

Calista Dittmer is also a junior in Marion show choir. “I feel like we are prepared and I’m excited to actually perform” Dittmer said. The Marion Show choirs practice Monday nights with Revelation six to eight and New Creation from eight to ten.

The show choir is very excited about their performance tonight. “Being with a group of people that are all passionate about the same thing [is the best part of show choir]” Kriz said.

There is a $5.00 admission and activity passes are accepted tonight. Everyone should come out and support the Marion High school show choir.
