On January 27th, Donald Trump passed an executive order that banned citizens from the Muslim countries, Iran, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen for 120 days. This order is called, “Protection Of The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States,” this was passed to protect America from threats of ISIS or any terror attacks. But it also has trapped refugees in unsafe environments.
So, what about the refugees living in these countries? They’re coming to America to find a better home, further their education and live a successful life. But now that this order has been passed it’s getting harder for them. Canada and the U.K. are both showing their full support for refugees, Justin Trudeau, Canada’s Prime Minister is welcoming all refugees that were banned in Trump’s order.
Even at Marion we have refugees and denying people the right to get a better life is just ignorant. This ban is a very drastic and it’s affecting the U.S. and other countries negatively.
