Sarah McGuire is one of the girls on the team that is traveling to Des Moines to perform at halftime of the Iowa Wild hockey game. “They asked our coach for us to come and perform,” Sarah, sophomore said.

The poms team is very prepared for this upcoming performance. “We’ve been continuously practicing a dance we learned at camp,” said, Danielle Hooker, sophomore on the Marion Poms teams.

Marion Poms is coached by Lori Hall, a seventh grade literacy teacher at Vernon Middle school and her daughter Taylor Hall teaches choreography. They are new to the team this year as coaches and have made a good impression on the team.

This is the first year Summer Williams, sophomore, has been on the team. “The coaches are really accepting to everyone and are very good coaches,” she said. Williams is excited about performing this weekend.
