Mia Laube

My name is Mia Laube (Mee-uh not Mya) and I'm a junior. This is my second year as the executive newspaper editor for the Vox. I really like writing when I'm not stressing about organization and deadlines in the journo room (just ask the staff). My honors and awards in journalism include various awards from IHSPA competitions and being published in the Gazette several times- including one of my favorite articles I've written, which was a reflection on my sophomore year State basketball run. Besides that, my life revolves around basketball. Ball is life. Spalding is the only man I need in my life. Eat, ball out, write and sleep when you can is the motto. The last one is probably the most neglected. My other sports are soccer and cross country. In the free time I wish I had I like to read, write poetry, ride horses, watch the Hawks and eat BWW with my squad. My best quality is the endless amount of puns and dad jokes I have. Some day I hope to be as great as my parents, Ronda Rousey and the GOAT Kobe Bryant.
