Homecoming’s around the corner

By: Storm Bogs [Staff Writer]
Homecoming is a big deal in high school. The week of the game, each day is dedicated to a certain way of dress. In the past we have done twin day and mismatch day. The day of the homecoming game is red and gold day. This year, the homecoming game is on October 1st against CPU. The varsity game will begin at 7:00pm. The dance will be the following Saturday, October 2nd.
There are many different stores that girls can get their homecoming dresses. Deb’s is a very popular store this year for homecoming dresses. Deb’s has really nice dresses for pretty cheap prices. Other popular stores to buy dresses include Kohls, Sears, and Elegant Repeats.
The most money generally spent on a homecoming dress is no more than $100. Spending more than that is just ridiculous for a dress that you’ll wear only one night. The maximum amount of money spent on shoes for Homecoming shouldn’t be any more than $40. A little more money can be spent on shoes because they might be worn after the dance.
Stress can come about around the time of homecoming if one doesn’t have a date. Don’t worry about having a date! Dates can make homecoming stressful because if a person goes with a date, they’re stuck with that person all night. If one goes with a group of friends, there will be no stress and the night can be full of fun.
The homecoming dance is October 2nd. Don’t stress about buying a dress or finding a date, just have fun with friends!
