Tonight the third-ranked Marion Indians Volleyball Team will be taking on the Oskaloosa Indians to determine who will go to the 2016 State Tournament.

Holly Faley, sophomore outside hitter, said, “We are working hard in practice and mentally preparing for whatever may be thrown at us.”

Last year’s season ended a little earlier than what was expected for the team, so this year they’re staying focused and on routine during practice.

Their long time goal is to win State.

“We have to put in the work and it is totally possible, we just have to perform like we know we can,” Faley said.

The team has worked together very well this season. “Our chemistry is really strong this year, there is no drama on the team so that is helpful too. We all trust each other to do our part and that’s an important price as well,” said Faley.

Tanea Westhoff, senior, said the team has good leaders helping them work together smoothly. Faley added, “It’s really an amazing environment, the coaching staff is amazing and the girls make every day fun. I feel really blessed to be a part of this team.”
